He began his musical education in Yekaterinburg with Vasily Stanov, a student of the great trumpeter Timofey Dokshitzer, whose traditions he continues today. He graduated with honors from the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, majoring in trumpet under Professor Yuri Balyan. During his 25-year performing career as a soloist and orchestral musician, he has performed in Armenia, Russia, Georgia, England, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Greece. He has performed numerous times for heads of state such as Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy, Emmanuel Macron, Angela Merkel, John Paul II, and many others. For 16 years, he has been teaching at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, where he successfully leads a special trumpet class, as well as at two of the largest music schools in Yerevan. He has trained a whole cohort of laureates of international competitions. Many former students and graduates are now teaching in Armenia and England, working in Switzerland and the USA, and performing around the world. A member of the jury of international competitions (ArtMusic, Minora). As the conductor of two children's wind orchestras, he co-authored the "Manual for Working with Children's Wind Orchestras. Exercises and Pieces." As the head of the wind department of the Spendiaryan Special Music School in Yerevan, he is deeply involved in the problems of sound production on brass instruments, as well as issues of embouchure flexibility. As part of the methodological work of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, he regularly conducts master classes in various parts of Armenia and provides advanced training for brass instrument teachers.
