Anait Nersesyan

  • Professor at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, pianist, Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia.
  • Graduated from the Tchaikovsky Central Music School in Yerevan (1972) and the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (1977, class of Victor Merzhanov).
  • Since 1977, she has been teaching at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, holding the position of Professor. In 1980, she was awarded the first prize and a gold medal at the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig.
  • Has recorded CDs featuring piano works by Bach, Shostakovich, Samuil Feinberg, and Gagik Hovunts.
  • Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia (2007).
  • Honorary Award from the Armenian Embassy in Japan (Tokyo, 2018).
  • Member of the jury of the International Balakirev Competition (Krasnodar, 2014).
  • Participant in the International Festival "Conservatory Week of the World" (St. Petersburg, 2014).
  • Member of the jury of the International Competition "Minsk 2014" (Belarus, 2014).
  • Participant in the festival dedicated to the 95th anniversary of V. Merzhanov (Moscow, Tambov, 2014).
  • Participant in the international festival in memory of T. Shebanova (2015).
  • Solo concerts dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide (Germany, Reichenbach, Mylau, 2015).
  • Concert dedicated to the 175th anniversary of P. I. Tchaikovsky (Armenia, Yerevan, 2015).
  • Master classes: Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (St. Petersburg), Sanok (Poland), Krasnodar.
  • Specially invited professor at the Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai, Japan, 2018).
