Zurab Zurabishvili

Zurab Zurabishvili was born on September 1, 1973, in Tbilisi, Georgia.
1988-1994: Studied vocal performance at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire under Professor Ana Chikhladze.
1994: Entered the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where he studied with Professor Marta Sharp, graduating with honors and a Master of Arts degree.
Simultaneously, he took lessons with Hanna Ludwig, honorary professor of the Mozarteum University Salzburg. He participated in masterclasses with Bernd Weikl and Sherrill Milnes in Salzburg, Lorraine Nubar in Nice, and Paata Burchuladze in Salzburg, and also took private lessons with Riccardo Lombardi.
In 2003, he was awarded the Austrian Honor Prize, and in 2005, he was a two-time winner of the 11th International Ferruccio Tagliavini Vocal Competition.
2003-2006: Soloist at the Augsburg Opera House.
2006/07: Soloist at the Darmstadt State Theatre.
2010-2013: Soloist at the Aalto Music Theatre in Essen.
Since 2013, he has been an international freelance opera singer.
